There isn’t much room above my sliding door, would it still be possible to install an awning?

- Yes! It’s actually a fairly common problem which is why our awnings can also be installed on your roof, above your overhang.

I have a new awning and when it rains, there is some leakage at the seams, is that normal?

- When the awning is new, it is normal.  Awning material is fairly thick and also coated, so it needs time to ‘relax’.  After a rain shower or two you will notice that the seams no longer allow water to come through.

The birds keep making nests on the back of my awning, is there any way to keep them from ‘nesting’?

- Birds are a problem with almost any sheltered spot on a house, an eve, overhang & even an awning.  We do sell awnings that are completely sealed when retracted, however if you don’t have one of those, there are a couple of things you can do….

• During the spring is when they make their homes… stuffing some plastic shopping bags on the awnings torsion bar sometimes works.
• Keep an eye out in spring and remove the beginnings of a nest (sometimes more than once) and they will stop.

How do I go about ordering an awning?

- Call any of the numbers provided and make an appoint for a free in-home estimate. Or you can stop any of our showrooms, look over the products and ask any questions that you may have & then make an appointment. When our salesperson comes to your home, they listen to your needs, go over all the appropriate choices, fabric selections, etc.

How long does it take to have my awning installed after I order it?

- Every awning we manufacture or order is custom-made to fit your home; the process can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 weeks.  Summer is always our busiest time, so it’s best to order your awning before the summer rush begins.

If I sell my home, can I take the awning with me and install it on my new home?

- Yes. We can remove your awning and install it at a new location. If need be, we can also make adjustments to the awning to insure proper fit.

Care & Cleaning

Awning fabric is mildew and stain resistant & has a 10 year warranty against such, however dirt can still collect on top of the fabric.
